✅ Type 2 - Pathogens: In response to infections, the immune system activates an inflammatory response to combat and eliminate the invading virus for example. This is a protective mechanism and a useful response!
🔥 Type 3 - Chronic Inflammation: Unlike the first two types, chronic inflammation operates behind the scenes. It's bubbling away in the background, slowly damaging cellular integrity and speeding up the ageing process. This can be cause by many things including exposure to toxins/chemicals, radiation, high-stress levels, excess waist fat, chronic diseases, and the consumption of inflammatory foods.
So, how can we combat chronic inflammation and slow down ageing? 💡
